We have 5 open days this year

You are all invited to our working nursery (not a garden centre), we would love to see you.

Open Days for 2013

First open days of 2013 are…..
Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th April 10am – 4pm

We have a special open day on the Sunday 6th October 10am – 4pm
This is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Plant Heritage (formerly NCCPG) We are one of 34 other National Collection holders who are opening their collections and joining the celebrations throughout the year.

Everyone welcome

The nursery open days are a chance to look around our working nursery (not a graden centre) access most areas.

Look around our 3 National Collections Heuchera, Heucherella, & Tiarella.

Take a look around our small garden. Its just our private garden some of the national collection is in there too. Its not a perfect garden but we like it, and hope you do. If you want to you can sit in the garden weather permitting.

Homemade cakes (usually made by me) and coffee/tea will be available to buy and warm and dry seating is available too.

All the medals and newspaper articles etc.along with gardening books and magazines will be available for you to look through (please leave behind for other people thank you)

Richard and I will be on hand to help you with advice or any questions you may have (nothing too difficult and no trick questions!)

Plants from the nursery will be available to purchase if you would like (we would like! ) we take cash, cheques, & credit card.

All this is available also in private smaller visits we call ‘nursery visits for groups small or larger for a small fee see talks and group visits for further info.

Shows from 2012 with medal results & summary

A big thank you to all of our customers and friends who supported us in 2012.
We are very luck at Plantagogo having such great customers who love their plants
Lots of you are like us Hooked on Heucheras!
If so, this is the medicine you need!

It was a great year especially for Gold Medals a perfect ’10’ so a lot to live up to in 2013
We put a lot of time and effort into our displays and plants so it always lovley when the judges agree and give us great medals

We were thrilled as you can imagine to get another Gold medal at Chelsea making that 4/5
I do hope we can make it 5/5 for 2013 …..we will have to see ?

We started Facebook & Twitter this year if you haven’t looked do because I put lots of interesting things on there, and we have a bit of fun too 🙂

As soon as we finished the last open day of 2012 we started the preparations for 2013

Hope you can all come and see us at one of the venues on the 2013 list and maybe bring a friend.

We have lots of new Heucheras and perennials for 2013 and they will be introduced throughout the 2013 year ….we even have a few of our own breeding again.

We have a great show and it was great to see you all new and established customers
Pleased you all enjoyed our display and we were thrilled that the judges did too
It is the earlest show we have ever done and were worried our show plants may not be ready, but they didn’t let us down (bless them extra love this week)

A great result at Harrogate – we got a Premier Gold Medal and a rather nice BIG Silver cup bring on the silver polish lol

!<<strong>>!!We are thrilled to say that we won a Gold medal at Chelsea 2012. We have had a great day and everyone has been so lovely about the display.
That makes it 4 gold medals in the 4 years we have done Chelsea.
Wow we were thrilled just to get one, we never imaged getting 4!!

1st – 3rd June – Gardening Scotland Gardening Festival

Wow we were thrilled to get one of the new Premier Gold medals at Gardening Scotland
Its something they have introduced up until now there was Gold, Silver Gilt, Silver and Bronze
Now they give i understand only 5 premier Gold medals so we felt really pleased.
A big thanks to all our loyal Scottish customers who always come to see us, it’s always a pleasure to see you all too 🙂

3rd – 8th July RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

Well we were thrilled with a lovely Gold medal.
I wrote a piece for the gala program called ‘Our garden’
it was in the program so that was really great and lots of people have email and said they loved it so thank you 🙂

18th – 27th July – RHS Tatton Park Flower Show

We have manage it again attaining a lovely Gold medal and of course we are thrilled. We wonder if we can keep it up we will try 🙂 (quite a challenge)
Lovely to see the people who have made it to the show so far. It was brave of everyone who attended the show as the weather forcasts have been terrible , however the weather has been really quite good considering 🙂
The RHS and show team did an excellect job looking after the site during the show, a really tough job with the weather on build up.
