RHS Hyde Hall just seems to grow bigger ever year! It’s much bigger than it used to be, more to see, more to do, and of course more plants to buy! With the heatwave we’ve been having we had fantastic blue skies and heat the whole show.
Lucky for us Heuchera, Heucherella and Tiarella are drought tolerant plants, they are hardy evergreens and do ok with little water. A little water goes a long way with them and they can withstand dry periods.
We brought along some fabulous Kniphofia as well, “Pineapple popsicle” a vibrant yellow, and “Redhot popsicle” with cinnamon red flowers.
We have had a tough time keeping all of my Heucheras happy. My garden has been so dry and the heat has been intense…. much too hot for me. Today we virtually completed planting up my back garden which is now a Heuchera haven !! …. well to me it is. I have incorporated a few other plants and we really love the result. So glad you are increasing your haul of gold medals !! Good Luck at any/all of your future shows. We can’t get to them as dogs aren’t allowed and can’t put them into kennels . Never mind, we loved visiting the nursery in June and thoroughly enjoyed wandering round !!. Margaret & Neil Golby.
