We were so busy around RHS Tatton we realised we didn’t even get that many photos! We took this small video of all our show plants getting ready to be planted though. We were pleased to take home a gold for our display as well. All the traffic problems and stress were worth it! It was a great show as always and we can’t wait for next years.

Plantagogo on BBC at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018
We’ve finally uploaded our segment on BBC for anyone who may have missed it for this years RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Hope you enjoy!
How can I get rid of the rust coloured spots on my Heucheras?
This question was asked by
I have half a dozen heucheras, several years old, in pots on a basement patio, in Brighton. They are superb this year, growing well and flowering but the lime green one has suddenly developed small rust coloured spots on the top of the leaves with same colour blobs under the leaves. My gardening book says ‘leafy gall’ but gives no instructions and Google doesn’t know what ‘leafy gall’ is! I don’t know if it is infectious, if the plant should be destroyed or cut back. I have never re-potted or divided them.
Thank you.
Hi V,
Heuchera rust is what it is.
Cut off ALL foliage scoop soil from around the plant and throw away (don’t put any in compost bin )
Then spray for a couple of months, as indicated in bottle with Rose Clear for black spot and rust.
Keep an eye on all others as it can spread!
Any leaves that come back with spots whilst it’s growing back pinch off immediately.
Don’t touch other leaves when you handled the rust foliage as it can spread that way
Hope this helps
Kind regards
Vicky

New Plants
We’ve added a few new plants to our website, take a look and see if you’d like to add any to your garden.
Primula vialii ‘Alison Holland’ PBR
Beautiful green buds open to pure white flower spikes, over neat green rosettes. Flowers can reach 50cm when fully grown.
This pretty plant was a finalist in the Chelsea New plant of the year competition this year.
It’s easy to grow and will not spread as it has sterile seed.
Heuchera ‘Appletini’ PBR
Stunning rich ruby-red flowers on dark rose-red stems over lime green leaves with a silver overlay. Very eye catching.
Neat and tidy dense mounds of foliage so great for planters, pots or spots in the garden where you want a pop of colour.
Summer Open Day Weekend 2018
We had such a lovely open day weekend a couple weeks ago with the sun shining down brightly on us the whole time, which was a treat! The rainbow photo above is of some of our show plants so people that visit us can see which ones go in our displays, and the photo below are our new babies growing nicely. They have a little ways to go before they are ready to be added to the website and shipped to customers, so keep an eye out!
Lots of Heuchera ‘Sweet Caroline’ all ready to be taken to RHS Hampton and RHS Tatton flower shows to be sold.
We are lucky to have the most caring and wonderful customers too, these were some beautiful flowers, bubbly and card from Nina and Stuart congratulating us on our 10 Chelsea gold medals. So lovely, thank you so much!
There were a LOT of cakes made and consumed, and we even made some gluten free macaroons and some healthy flapjacks.
We always love having open days as it gives us a chance to talk to our lovely customers more than at flower shows, so a big thank you for all who came out to see us and support us by taking some new plants home.
Our next open days won’t be until September 21st-23rd as we are away at a lot of shows until then. Put it in your diaries, we’re giving you plenty of notice!
In the meantime, you can find us at RHS Tatton July 18th-22nd this month, and if you are attending and know which flowers you would like, you can use our click and collect service to ensure we bring them or don’t sell out.
