open days 2020

This question was asked by
Lizzie P

Hi there,

I was wondering if you had the dates yet for your 2020 open days?
If not, do you know roughly when you might have them? My sister is a huge heuchera fan and she turns 40 in April. I wanted to surprise her with a visit to one of your open days but she isn’t local, so just looking at the calendar before she books herself up with other things.
Best wishes,
Lizzie

Coach Access

This question was asked by
M. Mccarthy

Hi

We have been asked by a group that would like to visit for a price for a coach. Please can you confirm whether we can get a coach to you or what alternative arranemetns there are? It is a small coach 35 seat – 9m in lenth.

Many thanks

Max

Hi Max
Thank you for your enquiry
In the past we have had large coaches drop at the front then park in a lay by about 1 mile away.
We can get 7 1/2 ton lorries into the drive comfortably so you might be ok.
Its a double drive, the lane is narrow which can be an issue for long vehicles.

If they are coming they need to book a slot with us and arrange a price.
We are not open all the time only open days and by prior arrangement.

Hope that helps if you need any further info please just ask

Kind regards vicky

Why can I only order 1 plant?

This question was asked by
Annice M

Why can I not order more than 1 plant of a geum?

Hi Annice
Was it Geum Flames of Passion?
If its that variety we only have 1 left until spring, when we will have more.
Some of the other Geum’s are still available in quantities
Hope that helps
Kind regards
Vicky

Plants to Fill Pots, Containers and Borders

Plants are looking great on the nursery. We’ve got some great plants to fill your pots and plant in borders to give some colour through the winter months.

It’s not too late to plant yet, especially in pots. If you are planting in the ground, make sure the ground doesn’t get water logged as they don’t like this.

Here are some ideas of combinations to plant together that look great in pots and containers.

Heuchera Cranberry, Heuchera Lime Marmalade and Heucherella Onyx.
Heuchera Lime Marmalade, Tiarella Spring Symphony, and Heucherella Solar Power.
Heuchera Lime Marmalade, Tiarella Spring Symphony and Heuchera Gojiberry.
Tiarella Spring Symphony, Heuchera Lime Marmalade and Heuchera Violet Shimmer.

Click any of the names to take you to the plants on our website if you’d like any of them.

Heucheras around hedging?

This question was asked by
Jane C

Can you advise me can I plant now ?? Will they be suitable beneath a trimmed conifer hedge. And beneath a mahonia charity.

Hi Jane
Yes you plant now and yes they are good for around hedges
The lime Marmalade I’ve attached is lovely for a part shade or full shaded spot
All the heuchera, heucherella and tiarella can go in partial shade around hedging and shrubs.
They make good ground cover
Hope this helps
Kind regards
Vicky
