Out of stock items ??

This question was asked by
Frank

Love the site, love the plants.

Please include an in stock filter as it is disheartening to scroll through all the things I can’t have.

Cheers

Frank

Hi Frank
I will look at that, but if you look at the ‘Quick Shop’ section.
To find this it’s on the tab across the top on the home page on computer or if on your mobile phone go to the 3 bars that drops the sections to look at and select ‘Quick Buy’ that only has on it the things that are available to buy now.
Also
If in the normal.heuchera page for instants
If you see ‘sold out ‘ and the ‘ tell me when back in stock’ click on the picture to find out when they are ready
I try to give an idea what time of year they will be available
Soon lots will be coming on for sale I hope
Hope this helps
Kind regards
Vicky

Plants for wall troughs

This question was asked by
J. Taylor

We have recently fitted 3 x 4ft wall mounted troughs that are in full sun but are not sure what plants to fill them with. We would like plants that are perennial and have colour/flower and saw your stand at Wisley last summer and were very taken with the Heuchera’s. Are you able to recommend a variety of different plants that you sell that could do what we would like. Your starter packs look very interesting as well. Thanks.

Hi Julia
Most rich colours such as reds, black silver purple and oranges will prefer full sun
All the plants flower
The mixed box is good as we try to give to a nice colour mix (the choice is ours though then.
In a couple months there will be a lot more choice
Hope this helps
Kind regards
Vicky

Planting a container

This question was asked by
Keith H

Recently I asked for recommendations for a plant for a planter. Vicky recommended Tangerine Wave. Just what I was looking for. One further question and I am going to purchase them
How plants many would I need for a 12inch square planter, three or five to make a good winter display
How do I get them off to a good start .
Warmest Regards. Keith H.

Hi Keith
Pleased you liked Tangerine wave 5 plants one in the middle and 1 on each corner will full it instantly.
3 plants will grow into being full but as it’s a square it’s not very easy to balance it.
We are shipping plants tomorrow if you wanted them for the weekend
To get them off to a good start use multi purpose compost put some gravel or broken frocks at the bottom to help drainage
Don’t over water especially as it’s winter (only water if they need it
Put pot on some wood peice or terracotta feet if you have them as this also aids the drainage in winter
In the spring give them a feed with a seaweed based product
Hope this helps
Happy planting 🙂
Kind regards
Vicky
